Description

Thatch Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century. It features a colourwashed 19th century brick front with rendered sides and rear, and has a gabled thatch roof with a brick end stack. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is one storey with an attic, presenting a symmetrical two-window range. There is a segmental arch over a 20th century door, and timber lintels above mid-19th century horned sash windows, along with two-light dormer casements. A 20th century rear outshut has been added. Inside, the cottage includes chamfered beams and a stone stack with an open fireplace to the right. There is also a central timber-framed partition featuring a queen-post truss.
