Description
Numbers 215, 215A, and 217, also known as Vine Cottage, are a group of three properties dating to 1799, as indicated by a cast-iron plaque on the front of the building. The construction is of stock brick. The ground floor has modern shop fronts for Nos 215 and 215A, and a modern window and door for No 217. The first floor features two sash windows with flush frames, with the south window having a recessed sash, all single-hung. A raised brick band sits above a first-floor brick parapet, and there is an axial stack and a slate roof. The south elevation displays a brick gable with stone coping, incorporating a blind semi-circular opening. The upper floor has two flush-framed sashes, while the lower floor has a single, wider sash. Rear extensions, including a lean-to, are present, alongside a rear stack.
