Description

The Parish Church of St Edward the Confessor, located in Romford, was built in 1849 by J Johnson and features a curvilinear Decorated style. The church is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings and has a patterned red tile roof, topped by a 162-foot spire. Inside, there are three notable monuments from the 16th and early 17th centuries, particularly the monument of Sir Anthony Cooke, who died in 1576.
