Description

This is an early 19th-century building, originally a single house, now comprising two properties at 22 and 22A North Street. The building is three storeys high and has three windows. It is constructed of white brick and features a parapet topped with a cornice featuring dentils. The sash windows are set within reveals and have flat arches with rubbed brick voussoirs; the original glazing bars are now missing. A band runs below the first-floor windows. The ground floor was originally rusticated. Large 20th-century plate glass shop fronts and fascias now occupy the ground floor. A narrow, round-headed doorway is located at the northern end, featuring a keystone.
