Description

This is an early 19th-century building comprising two properties, 41 and 43 Bondgate Within. It is three storeys high with a symmetrical facade of 3 bays plus 2 bays. The front is constructed of ashlar, with cill strings to the first and second-floor windows. A moulded eaves cornice runs along the top, supporting a slate roof with coped verges and two stone gable end chimneys. The windows are plate glass sashes. The ground floor of number 41 features a fine, late 19th-century shop front with carved fascia brackets topped with lions' masks, arched glazing, and recessed doors. Number 43 has a simpler, 20th-century shop front.
