Description
Nos 13 and 15 Market Street are early 19th century buildings that stand three storeys tall and feature three windows. The facade is made of ashlar stone and includes cill bands on the first and second floors, along with a simple eaves cornice. The roof is slate, supported by two shared brick chimneys. The windows are glazing bar sash types, while the shop front has been modernized. At the rear, there are long stone extensions that rise to two and three storeys and are slightly skewed to the through passage of No 13. Notably, No 13 has a reset carved 15th or early 16th century crocketted and pinnacled ogee window head with cusps below, which is now situated above a modern casement window with opaque glass.
