Description

These are two early 19th century buildings on the south side of Market Street. They present three storeys and two windows wide. The front is constructed of ashlar, with horizontal stone bands at the first and second floor sill levels, and raised surrounds to the windows. The roof is slate, featuring a coped verge on the left side, and two shared brick chimneys. The second floor has two-light casement windows. The first floor has tripartite sash windows. A throughpassage is located on the left side of the ground floor. A late 19th century shop front occupies the ground floor, featuring arch-headed windows and a fascia supported by five pilasters with decorative capitals. This fascia extends over three windows and the recessed doorway, with a further window to the right featuring a cill band. At the rear, a three-storey extension is shared with No. 21.
