Description
68 North Street is an early 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall and features three windows. The exterior is stuccoed, with a parapet and a string course above the ground floor. The windows are sash style, set in reveals with flat arches, and retain their glazing bars. Originally, there were cornices with large consoles above the first-floor windows. At the southern end, there is a semi-circular arched doorway with a moulded cornice above it. The door is set in reveals and has a segmental fanlight with tracery over a six-panel moulded door that includes oval and Greek Cross panels, flanked by slender columns. To the north of this entrance, there is a 20th-century plate-glass shop front and door. The building is accompanied by a garden wall on the north side and forms part of a group with Nos 69 to 72 and No 70A.
