Description
71 and 72 North Street are 18th-century buildings that stand two storeys tall with an attic, featuring one window each. Number 71 has a modern brick front on the first floor and a higher frontage. Number 72 is stuccoed and projects slightly further west, showcasing an eaves bracket cornice. Each building has one dormer. Number 71 includes an early 19th-century shop front with glazing bars and one first-floor window set in a brick arch, while number 72 has a modern plate-glass shop window. At the back, there is a small east-west timber-framed wing. These buildings, along with number 68, which has a garden wall on the north side, and numbers 69 to 72 (consecutive), as well as number 70A, form a group.
