Description
Nos 70 and 70A on North Street are early 19th-century buildings featuring a slate gabled roof with slightly overhanging eaves. The exterior is stuccoed, and the buildings rise to three storeys, with a significantly taller frontage compared to No 69. They have four window bays, with modern metal-framed two-light casement windows on the second floor. The first floor has sash windows, although the flush boxes and glazing bars are missing. On the ground floor, there are 20th-century metal framed plate-glass shop windows and a doorway. These buildings, along with No 68, which has a garden wall on the north side, and Nos 69 to 72, form a group.
