NORTH STREET 1. 972 (East Side) Nos 70 & 70A SU 8604 NW 4/448 II GV 2. Early C19. Slate gabled roof; slightly overhanging eaves. Stuccoed. 3 storeys with much higher frontage than No 69; 4 window bays. Modern metal-framed 2-light casement windows on second floor; sash windows on first floor with flush boxes and glazing bars missing. C20 metal framed plate-glass shop windows and doorway on ground floor.

No 68 with garden wall on north side, Nos 69 to 72 (consec) and No 70A form a group.
