Description
Nos 71 and 71A on High Street are buildings dating from around the 17th century. They feature a timber-framed structure with a stuccoed front that is painted to resemble timber framing. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has gabled ends and coved eaves. The buildings rise to three storeys and have a two-window range. The windows include 19th and 20th century casements with two and three lights. The ground floor of No 71A, on the right, has a small early 19th century bowed shop window with glazing bars, thin pilasters, and an entablature. No 71, on the left, has a much-altered 19th century double-fronted shop front also featuring thin pilasters.
