Description

This is a red brick house dating from approximately 1800. It has a concrete tile roof with gabled ends, a blocking course, and a moulded stone cornice. The building is three storeys high with an attic, and it has two bays. The right-hand corner, where it meets Market Street, is splayed. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, although some have been replaced with modern, horizontally pivoting windows, all set within plain stone lintels. A Victorian shop front and doorway are present, along with a pedimented doorcase to the side. A modern dormer window has also been added. The building is included in the listing primarily for its contribution to the group value of the surrounding buildings.
