Description

The Church Hall is an early 19th-century former market hall located on the south side of High Street. It is constructed of red brick with stone dressings and features a slate hipped roof with overhanging eaves. The building has rusticated quoins, a string course, and a plinth. It stands two storeys high and consists of four bays. The first floor has sash windows set within moulded stone architraves. The ground floor originally had an open arcade, which is now blocked, featuring four bays with rusticated elliptical arches supported by Tuscan columns. The right-hand (east) return has a similar arch and two windows above.
