Description

These are a group of timber-framed cottages, likely dating from the 16th century, with very steep roofs. The cottages are two storeys high with an attic, and each has one dormer window. On the first floor are a sash window with a flush box surround and a four-light casement window. The ground floor has 19th-century shop fronts, with a fascia extending over the central doorway. Number 75A features a panelled door with some moulded panels, while Number 75 has a glazed door. Number 74 has a more modern door. Together with numbers 74 to 81, including 75A, and the former St Olave’s Church, these cottages form a significant historical group.
