Description

These are 17th-century cottages located on All Saints’ Street. They are two storeys high and form part of a group of listed buildings.

The first floor has a plastered timber frame, projecting about 15 inches, and is supported by a moulded bressumer and carved brackets. The right side of number 127 has been underbuilt with painted brick. The ground floor of number 126 has a small, fixed multi-pane window on the corner, while number 127 has a three-light casement window with glazing bars. Both cottages have two plain boarded doors at the centre. The first floor features wide sash windows with glazing bars in moulded cases. The roof is tiled, with gabled ends, and includes two modern flat-roofed dormers. One end wall is tile-hung.

Inside, there is a wide fireplace with a timber lintel and several old doors that were imported from elsewhere.
