Description

44 St Peter's Street is an early 19th-century building featuring three storeys and a basement, with a stuccoed exterior. It has a parapet and a dropped eaves cornice. The first floor displays four sash windows set in moulded architraves, each topped with pediments and supported by console brackets. The second floor has verticals only, while the first floor retains its glazing bars. The ground floor is characterized by a rusticated base and a modillion cornice, along with a plinth and wrought iron basement grilles featuring an anthemion motif. Inside, there is a fine 18th-century staircase with twisted balusters. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 41 to 45.
