Description
26 Castle Street is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys high, with a basement and attic. The exterior is finished in stucco and features an old tiled roof with two dormer windows. It has a parapet and a moulded eaves cornice, along with a rainwater head. The front facade includes two bow windows that span two storeys, both fitted with double hung sashes, and there are two additional sash windows. The central doorcase is adorned with a semi-circular fanlight that has glazing bars, and it contains a six-panelled door with two stone steps leading up to it. There is also a footscraper. This building, along with Nos 25 and 37 to 41 Castle Row, forms a cohesive group.
