Description
Nos 8A and 8B on College Approach date from around 1836 and are three storeys tall, each with two windows. The buildings are finished in stucco and feature a cornice and parapet. They are distinguished by rusticated pilasters and have plain reveals around the sash windows, which include glazing bars. There are raised, shaped panels between the windows and a cill band on the second floor. The first floor windows have bracketed cills. No 8A has an altered mid-19th century shop front on the ground floor, featuring two double doors with a cornice head and margin lights, while No 8B has a similar door. These buildings are part of a group with Nos 37 and 37A King William Walk.
