Description
The Spanish Galleon Public House is a 19th-century building dating from 1836, part of a unified market composition. It stands three storeys tall and features three windows on College Approach, three on the rounded west angle, and one facing Greenwich Church Street. The exterior is finished in stucco, with an entablature and a blocking course that conceals the roof, except for the slated section over the left bay. The building has rusticated quoins on the bays flanking the rounded angle. The replaced sash windows, which have glazing bars, are adorned with moulded architraves. The first-floor windows in the flanking bays feature a pulvinated frieze, console bracketed cornice, and pediment, along with a raised panel below. The ground floor has a modern tiled public house front. The listed buildings on the south side of College Approach form a group with Nos 37 and 37A King William Walk.
