Description

Nos 24 to 28 on King William Walk, built around 1840, are three-storey buildings with two windows each. They are constructed of stucco and feature a parapet that conceals the roof. The second floor has a cill band, while the ground floor is banded and rusticated. The first and second floor sash windows have shaped lintels and glazing bars. The first floor windows have projecting bracketed cills adorned with cast iron guards that display an anthemion and palmette pattern. The ground floor sash windows, which have been replaced, feature plain reveals and also have glazing bars. The doors consist of one stoutly beaded panel and include small inner pilasters, a cornice head, a plain rectangular fanlight, and a simple entablature surround. Nos 21 to 28 form a cohesive group.
