Description
Number 10, including the market entrance, is a building from the second quarter of the 19th century. It stands three storeys high with an attic and features one window, along with an additional first-floor window on a convex quadrant that leads to an arched market entrance. The front is finished in stucco and has a panelled parapet, while the roof is a slated mansard style with two dormers on the return. The first and second floors have three-light sash windows with glazing bars. There is a console bracketed cornice and a pediment above the first-floor window. The angle window is a rounded sash with glazing bars. The ground floor has a modern shop front. To the left, there is a rusticated stucco screen wall that rises two storeys and supports a high, rounded arch featuring voussoirs, a keystone, and impost blocks. A cornice with a blocking course is present, and below the frieze is the inscription "GREENWICH MARKET." Numbers 10 to 16 (even) form a group.
