Description
Nos 1-3 Whites Cottages is a row of cottages dating from the late 16th century to the early 17th century. The cottages feature weatherboarded timber framing and a steeply pitched tiled roof that extends to the eaves. They have square-headed windows with small panes. The central part of the block has a two-storey gabled projection, which includes casement windows and applied timber. Inside, the timber framing is visible. Nos 1 and 2 originally appear to have been a single three-bay cottage, and they have roofs supported by raking queen struts and straight windbracing, set on jowled posts.
