Hayes Grove is an 18th-century house constructed of red brick. It features a stringcourse cornice and a parapet. The house has segmental-headed windows with intact glazing bars and consists of a central section flanked by two projecting wings. Each of the three sections is accented by pilasters. Behind the parapet of the wings, there are weatherboarded gables. The central doorway is accessed by five wide steps with an iron handrail and is adorned with fluted Doric pilasters, a curved pediment, and a door with six fielded panels. The building has two storeys, an attic, and a semi-basement, with a total of nine windows and five dormers. The garden front features two asymmetrical bays with three windows on both the ground and first floors, a round-headed window, and a doorway with a flat hood supported by brackets.
