Description
Nos 1 to 8 on Harwood Hall Lane are a row of cottages, with Nos 1, 2, and 3 likely dating from the 17th century, while the rest are from the 18th century. The cottages are two storeys high. Nos 1 and 2 have a roughcast finish, while the other cottages are covered in painted weatherboarding. Each of Nos 3 to 8 features one sash window on each floor, with shutters on the ground floor windows. Nos 1 and 2 have casement windows. The doors are arranged irregularly along the terrace, each topped with a simple hood. Most cottages have old tile roofs, except for No 4, which has a corrugated roof. Nos 1, 2, and 3 share a large chimney stack with six diagonal shafts. The cottages are situated on a slope, creating a stepped appearance.
