Description
The Old Anchor is an 18th-century timber-framed house located on Harwood Hall Lane in Corbets Tey. It has two storeys and is roughcast, featuring two windows across the front with a central door. The door is modern but has an 18th-century hood supported by shaped brackets. On the ground floor, there is one three-light window and one four-light window, both with Gothic heads, and two similar three-light windows on the upper floor. There is also a later door at the west end of the building. The roof is modern and tiled, hipped at the east side with an axial stack. At the rear, there is a single bay wing with one sliding sash window. Additionally, there are 19th-century timber-framed outbuildings that continue the line of the rear wing, which are weatherboarded with some brick infill.
