Description

A terrace of houses located on Kensington Gardens Square, dating from the mid-19th century. The buildings are constructed of stucco and extend over four storeys, with an attic and basement. Each house has three windows spaced closely together. The ground floor is characterised by channelling. Projecting Doric porches provide access, and panelled doors are present. Windows on the ground and third floors are square headed, while other windows are round headed, and grouped in triplets with shafting between them. The first and second floor triplets have cornices. Pediments are above the centre windows on the second floor. The windows are plate glass sashes. A console cornice sits above the third floor, with a subsidiary cornice to the attic. Cast iron area railings are present. The terrace forms an integral part of the planned layout of Kensington Gardens Square.
