Description

A terrace of houses numbered 86 to 92 Kensington Gardens Square, dating from the mid-19th century. The buildings are constructed of stucco with a slate mansard roof. They form a garden facade to the south and stand four storeys high, with an attic and basement. Each house has three windows closely spaced. The overall design is balanced, with the end houses projecting slightly. The ground floor features channelling. The ground and first floors are treated as convex two-storey bow windows, except for the end houses. The ground and third floors have square-headed windows, while the first floor has a continuous bombé balcony. The second floor features three closely spaced round-headed windows, each with cornices and pediments. Round-headed windows are also present in the attic. A dentil cornice runs along the bay windows, with a console above the third floor and a subsidiary cornice to the attic. The rear facade, with its entrances, is also of architectural interest.
