Description

TQ 2880 NW CITY OF WESTMINSTER PARK STREET, Wl 68/41 (east side) Nos.66 and 68 G.V. II Pair of end of terrace houses. Originally one house of c.1729 heightened,refronted and converted to 2 houses in 1845-46. Stucco faced, slate roof. 4 storeys and basement. Each front 2 windows wide with flanking giant pilasters above ground floor and to return. Pilastered doorways with rectangular fanlights to left. Tripartite ground floor windows and recessed sashes with glazing bars in architraves to upper floors, those on 1st floor eared. The giant pilasters support crowning dentil cornice and blocking course. Slightly advanced ground floor finished off with cornice on which fit individual cast iron balconettes. Included for group interest in this early surviving Park Street terrace.
