Description
No. 4 Culross Street is a terrace house built in 1732, with internal remodelling carried out by Forsyth and Maule between 1926 and 1928. The building is constructed of brown brick and has a slate roof. It stands four storeys tall with a basement and features four windows across its front. The entrance, located in the second bay from the right, was remodelled in a neo-Georgian style during the 1926-28 renovations. It includes four steps leading up to a fielded panel door, which is topped by a semicircular fanlight framed by fluted pilasters and a pediment. The windows are recessed glazing bar sashes set beneath flat gauged arches. The building has a parapet with stone coping and area railings.
