Description

No. 58, Park Street is a terraced town house dating from 1826 to 1827. The building is constructed of stock brick with a channelled stucco ground floor, topped with a slate roof. It rises four storeys plus a basement, with a dormered mansard roof. The facade is three windows wide. A doorway is located to the right, set within a segmental arched opening containing recessed double, panelled doors with sidelights and a patterned fanlight. The windows are recessed glazing bar sashes; the ground floor windows have channelled flat arches, and the upper floor windows have flat, gauged red brick arches. A stucco plat band marks the first floor, and a stone cornice sits below the parapet, which is finished with coping. The first floor has cast iron geometric pattern balconettes, and cast iron spearhead area railings with urn finials are also present.
