Description
Number 2 Charles Street is a house, likely built in the 18th century with some alterations from the early 19th century. The building is finished in stucco and has a slate roof. It stands three storeys tall, with a basement and a dormered mansard roof.
The entrance is located to the right and features a doorway with an architrave case and a rectangular fanlight with radial glazing. The ground floor has a central tripartite window with 19th-century sash lights that do not have glazing bars. Above, there is a full-width canted bay on the first and second floors, supported by two cast iron columns with fan spandrel braces. The sash windows in this bay also lack glazing bars and are set within architraves that have pediments on the first floor. Additionally, there are cast iron area railings in front of the property.
