Description

Numbers 15 and 16 are a pair of houses dating from the mid-19th century. They are constructed of brick, with a stucco finish to the ground floor, which is channelled to create a visual texture. The roof is covered with Welsh slate. The houses are two storeys high, with a basement, and each has two bays. Projecting porches are situated on the side bays, with double doors leading into Number 16. A later infill has been added to Number 15. Round-arched sash windows are present on the return walls of the porches. The upper floors feature casement windows with arched lights set within architraves in square reveals. An iron balcony is located on the ground floor. A continuous band runs along the first floor. The first-floor windows are similar in design. The roof has a hipped form, supported by overhanging brackets. A low front garden wall is topped with iron railings. The group value of these buildings is recognised due to their contribution to the character of the surrounding area.
