25 And 26 Including Front Garden Wall And Gatepiers

Nos 25 and 26, including the front garden wall and gatepiers, are a pair of houses built in the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed of brick and covered in stucco, with a roof that is concealed. The buildings are two storeys tall, with an attic and a basement, featuring four bays that have a slight central projection. There are recessed low single-bay entrance wings on either side, which are set back above the ground floor.

Access to the entrances is via balustraded steps. No 26 has a four-panel door, while No 25 features a half-glazed door with an overlight in an architrave. The remaining windows are tripartite sashes set within architraves that have cornices supported by corbels in the centre bays of the ground floor. There is a sill band on the first floor and an egg and dart cornice above the central section. The balustraded parapet has a central pediment on a pilastered base that contains attic windows. The stucco front wall is complemented by simple railings, and there is a gateway with a pedimented lintel for No 25, along with gatepiers for No 26.
