Description
Rochelle Street Primary School House is a small house built in 1899, located on the western side of the Boundary Estate. It features a half hexagonal facade and is attached to the school on its eastern side. The building is constructed from yellow stocks with red brick dressings and has a slate roof. A large panelled chimney with a cornice and string course is a prominent feature. The house has two storeys, with the central facade displaying a stucco name and date panel framed in brick. There are two side windows, with upper sashes and modern glazing on the lower sections. The entrance is set in a round arched recess.
The Boundary Estate is an early London County Council estate known for its advanced design for the time. It showcases a variety of architectural details and its streets radiate from a central raised park in Arnold Circus, forming a cohesive group with several surrounding streets.
