Description
Weavers Field School is a late 19th century to early 20th century building located on the west side of Mape Street. It is constructed of stock brick with a red brick ground floor, featuring red brick and white stone dressings. The building is divided into two parts; the east end of the north elevation has six bays topped with a gabled, tiled roof, while the west end consists of a two-bay section with a parapet. The school has panelled chimneys and a stone band separating the storeys. The windows are paired on the first two storeys and grouped as triple lights on the top floor. The ground floor windows have round arches, the first floor features flat arches within round-arched brick recesses, and the third floor has arched lights, all set between red brick pilasters. The end bay is blank. The facades facing Kelsey Street and Mape Street are now generally visible across the parkland.
