Description
Glemsford County Primary School is a late 19th-century red brick building with grey brick dressings and stone coping on the gables, built around 1895. Originally constructed as an Urban District Office, it was later repurposed as a school. The building is partly one storey and partly two storeys high. At the north-east end, there is an elaborate clock tower and entrance, featuring a three-window range above the entrance, with casements that have pointed arches. The tower has a cruciform slate roof that is gabled on each front and displays a clock face on the front. To the left of the tower, there are five gables, and to the right, there is one gable, each containing two pointed arched windows. At the south-west end, there is a double gabled wing with modern windows set into it. The roof is covered in slate, accented with lighter grey slate bands and ornamental crest tiles.
