Description

Nos 6 and 8 Brook Street is a timber-framed and plastered house dating from the 17th to 18th century, featuring 19th century and modern windows. The building has two storeys and a two-window range, with mainly modern casements. No 8 includes a three-light 19th century double-hung sash window without glazing bars on the ground floor. There are lean-to additions with corrugated iron roofs at each end of the house. It has two doorways and a tiled roof, which is topped by a large square central chimney stack. The eaves are coved plaster with a moulded wood cornice on the front.
