BOUNDARY ESTATE ARNOLD CIRCUS E2 Virginia Primary School

GV II 1899. Yellow stock brick with red brick dressings. Slate roof. Three storeys. Centre portion of ten paired sashes with additional top lights. Flanking wings under coped gables, each with two pairs of windows. String courses at sill heights, paired windows separated by red brick buttresses with stone caps. Rear facade to Virginia Street gabled with off centre tower under hipped roof with finial (see also Virginia Street).

The Boundary Estate is an early LCC estate of advanced design for its period. It contains a variety of architectural details and its streets radiate from a central raised park in Arnold Circus. The entire estate forms a group.
