Description
Sunbury Workshops, built in 1899, is located at the rear or north side of Sunbury House. This structure consists of eight units, each containing four workshops. It is constructed from red brick and features low-pitched gabled slate roofs. The building is two storeys high, with each of the eight units having central doors on both floors, supported by a beam above for loading, and large windows with glazing bars on either side.
The Boundary Estate, where Sunbury Workshops is situated, is one of the early London County Council estates, notable for its advanced design for the time. It showcases a variety of architectural details and has streets that radiate from a central raised park in Arnold Circus.
