Description

Molesey House is a building from 1899 located on the east side of Camlet Street in the Boundary Estate. It is constructed of red brick, with the ground floor serving as a plinth for the structure. The building features a tiled mansard roof with wide eaves soffits and is flanked by towers on either side of a central gable, which is rendered and painted cream. The gable has four bays, with two bays on each side. The building stands four storeys tall, with a dormer and a gable featuring five windows, plus a single top window above. The first and second floor windows are set in brick arched recesses, with one rank of casements and the rest being sashes with segmental arches and glazing bars. There are iron balconies across the centre of the third and fourth floors.

The Boundary Estate is an early London County Council estate known for its advanced design for the time. It showcases a variety of architectural details, with streets radiating from a central raised park at Arnold Circus. The entire estate is considered a group, including several streets such as Arnold Circus, Boundary Street, Calvert Avenue, Camlet Street, Club Row, Hocker Street, Ligonier Street, Montclare Street, Naverre Street, Old Nichol Street, Palissy Street, Rochelle Street, Swanfield Street, and Virginia Street.
