Description
Nos 9 and 10 Fleur de Lis Street are two mid-19th century houses that likely incorporate elements from earlier 18th century buildings. They feature stucco facades and are three stories tall with dormers. No 9 has three windows, while No 10 has two, all of which are sash windows with some glazing bars. The windows have architrave surrounds and sills that are supported on consoles at the second floor height. A string course runs along at the first floor sill height. No 9 includes a ground floor shop front with an entablature that has a cornice and architrave, fluted pilasters, and a later window. There is a doorway leading to a passage entrance on the side. No 10 has a cornice on brackets above a former shop window and door. These houses are part of a group that includes the road surface and Nos 1 to 23 (odd) and 24 to 36 (even) on Elder Street.
