Description

This early 19th-century building, numbers 12 to 14 Wapping Pier Head, is constructed of yellow stock brick with a stucco cornice and blocking course. It features a stone band above the ground floor. The building is three storeys high with a basement. It has 2, 2, and 3 windows, each with recessed sash windows and glazing bars. Iron balconies are present on the first floor of numbers 12 and 13. Number 12 and 14 have panelled doors with fanlights featuring tracery. Number 14 includes a later 19th-century extension. The iron railings and paved roadway of Wapping Pier Head are considered part of a group including numbers 1 to 15 (consec), number 4½, the Town of Ramsgate Public House, Oliver's Wharf, a section of wall and entrance to London Docks, four bollards, Wapping Old Stairs, Wapping High Street.
