Description

St John’s Church is a building dating from 1756. The church body was destroyed, but the tower and the northern portion of the west wall, along with the entire north wall, remain. The tower is constructed of brick with stone quoins, a stone string course, and two stone cornices; the upper one extends over a clock. It has an unusual domed roof surmounted by a large golden ball and weather vane. A doorway of Doric order features a stone pediment, frieze, and engaged columns, leading to panelled doors.
