Description

Oliver's Wharf is a mid-to-late 19th-century warehouse built in the Gothic style. It is located on Wapping High Street, London. The building is constructed of stock brick with red brick and stone dressings, and has a slate roof. It comprises a main, western section of six bays and six storeys, and a two-bay, gabled, four-storey eastern section. The end and central bays of the façade have a parapet between the gables. The windows are three-light, with stone mullions. The four lower storeys have windows set in shallow arched recesses. The fifth-storey windows have relieving arches above, and the top-floor windows have gothic arches. Currently, the wharf is being converted into residential use. The iron railings and paved roadway of Wapping Pier Head are considered part of a group with other buildings and features nearby, including numbers 1 to 15, 4½, the Town of Ramsgate Public House, a section of wall and entrance to London Docks, and four bollards at Wapping Old Stairs.
