Description
There are four bollards located in Wapping, London. One bollard is situated outside No. 4 Wapping Pier Head, while the other three are on the opposite side of Wapping High Street, flanking the entrance to Hermitage Wall. These bollards date from the 19th century and consist of three short granite bollards and one cast iron cannon bollard with iron knees on both sides of Wapping High Street. The iron railings and paved roadway of Wapping Pier Head form a group with Nos 1 to 15 (consecutive), No. 4½ Town of Ramsgate Public House, Oliver's Wharf, and this section of the wall and entrance to London Docks, as well as the four bollards and Wapping Old Stairs.
