Description

The buildings at 2 and 3 Lyndhurst Square are a pair of semi-detached villas dating from 1843. Constructed of amber brick with a half-hipped slated roof, they feature gables with bargeboards and stucco dressings. The architectural style is a playful interpretation of Gothic design.

Each villa has two storeys and two bays. The stucco door surrounds incorporate a small quatrefoil motif. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. The projecting, gabled bays have canted corners on the ground floor. The ground-floor windows are tripartite, with slightly cambered brick arches and a moulded stucco string above. First-floor windows feature flat, gauged-brick arches; the window of No.2 has margin lights. The interior has not been inspected. Nos. 1-7 (consecutively numbered) and No.10 form a group.
