Description

Two villas, numbers 6 and 7 Lyndhurst Square, were built in 1843. They are constructed of amber brick with pitched slate roofs and decorative bargeboards, and have stucco dressings. The design is in a playful Gothic style, and the two villas are joined by a link at the rear. Each villa is double-fronted and has three bays. The central doorways, flanked by projecting gabled bays with canted ground-floor corners, have a stucco porch with Tudor arches and panelled, hexagonal pilasters. Sash windows with glazing bars are present, with the ground-floor windows being tripartite. A moulded stucco string runs above the ground-floor windows, and the first-floor windows have margin lights. The interior has not been inspected. Numbers 1 to 7 (consecutively) and number 10 of Lyndhurst Square form a group of buildings of group value.
