Description
No. 58 Borough High Street is a house with a ground-floor shop, now used as offices. It dates from the early 19th century and is believed to be a refronting of an earlier building, although the interior has been completely gutted. The structure is made of brick with a rendered ground floor, and the roof is obscured behind a parapet. It has four storeys and two bays. The ground-floor shop front features plain pilasters on either side of a six-panel door and a large window, along with a frieze that has lined panels. The upper storeys have sash windows with slender glazing bars and flat, gauged-brick arches, with the windows on the main first floor being taller. The interior has not been inspected.
