Description
Nos. 50 and 52 on Borough High Street are early 18th-century houses built of brick in English bond, featuring a mansard roof covered with tiles. The buildings stand three storeys tall, with a roof dormer above a basement. They have a three-window range on the front, which has been restored to reflect its original design. All openings are flat-arched, with gauged brick lintels above the windows on the first and second floors. There is a storey band between these two floors. The ground floor includes an arched carriageway that leads to the rear yard of Calvert's buildings, while to the right is a late 20th-century shop front designed in a Georgian style. The interior has not been inspected.
