Description

The monument to Sophia Kimpton, located in Nunhead Cemetery, is a funerary monument dating from around 1849. It commemorates Sophia Kimpton, who died in the same year. The monument is made of Portland stone and features a battered chest tomb with acroteria at the corners. On the front, there is a relief of an urn beneath a weeping willow within the pediment. Additionally, there are inscription panels that are recessed into the sides of the chest.
